EVENT MARKETING: THROWBACK MUSIC FEST

For over 30 years, RAS Communications has billed itself as "Your ONE SOURCE for all your Graphic Design, Printing, and Promotional Marketing needs." More recently we have expanded this tagline to include "— both online and off." It is our way of saying, whatever you need, RAS can help you!

In practice, this means we provide comprehensive marketing services for events great and small. Since 2016, one of our favorite events to work with has been the Gladstone Park Throwback Music Fest, presented by the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce and the Gladstone Park Neighborhood Association. (We are proud to be members of both!)

Having created the event logo and supporting materials from the start, the challenge year after year is to keep the marketing fresh and the audience engaged. To that end we created a new look for 2023 and added more motion graphic imagery to our social media campaign.

If you like numbers, you'll be interested to know that our Facebook campaign of a little more than a month and of approximately 200 posts generated almost 13,600 views, 200+ comments, and 1,600+ reactions. The website reached over 54,000 visitors in 2023 leading up to the event, which was a noteworthy increase over the 41,100+ in 2021, and 48,800+ in 2022.

In addition to Save The Date and Volunteers Needed posts, social media posts were created for each band as well as the primary event activities. The Band Post below shows all the bands together in one post with one music track, but it is worth noting for the individual band posts, the music track for each was different and in the style of the band's performance. The same approach was applied to the major event activities. Static Social Media Posts were also created. See below.

TMF Website

The current website has been in place since 2021, with minor tweaks along the way. Each year the band images are updated. Since many bands do not have professional imagery, RAS creates each band promo image with logo to the specs necessary for consistent display.
